Hive at Evanston’s Trunk or Treat Celebration!

On October 27, we joined several other organizations for Evanston’s Trunk or Treat celebration at the Robert Crown Community Center parking lot! Though the skies threatened rain, it held off long enough for us to distribute goody bags with candy, little Hive sketchbooks, and bookmarks from Booked.

Thanks to our partners Young, Black, & Lit, we also passed out coloring books and Levar Burton’s Book about Imagination to over 250 little fairies, pumpkins, skeletons, princesses, and monsters.

Our car became a hive, of course, with bees and honey. We even had a special bee visitor as we were cleaning up, and we’re already planning for next year’s Trunk or Treat, so mark your calendars!
