Big Read Paper Making :: September 23, 2024

As part of Hive+EPL’s A Year of Joy and Gratitude Big Read programming, community members joined us in the Falcon Room at Evanston Public Library’s Main Branch on September 23, 2024 to make paper by hand from cotton linter pulp with embedded words from select poems from Ross Gay’s Catalog of Unabashed Gratitude.

Paper made during all of our Big Read papermaking workshops during A Year of Joy and Gratitude will be used to create two large collaborative tapestries that will be permanently displayed at both Evanston Public Library branches.
