ONLINE: Graphic Poems: Create Your Own with Naoko Fujimoto September 30-October 14 :: 6-8 pm CST

In this three session virtual course, we’ll explore how to create graphic poems, a unique blend of image and word.

Naoko Fujimoto will explain how to create a narrative with words and images. You'll also experience the process of creating graphic poems using your own written poems.

Naoko Fujimoto was born, raised in Nagoya, Japan. She is a RHINO Poetry & Tupelo Quarterly translation editor.

Her poetry collections are We Face The Tremendous Meat on The Teppan (C&R Press, 2022), Where I Was Born (Willow Books, 2019), Glyph: Graphic Poetry=Trans. Sensory (Tupelo Press, 2021), and four chapbooks.

Her translation collections are 09/09 (Toad Press/Veliz Books, 2024) and of women (Tupelo Press, 2026). She is a Bread Loaf Translation full scholarship recipient and the 2023 Visiting Teaching Artist at the Poetry Foundation.
