Block Printing Basics 1 ::: April 20, 2024

Come join us for the basics of block printing!

If you have design ideas that you would love to replicate, or even apply to fabric and clothing, this is the skill for you!

Linocut is the perfect print medium for beginners or for folks who love bold designs and textures. In this workshop, we will go over the basics of relief printmaking, image transfer, cutting the block, and single-color printing.

Bring a copy of a drawing of yours you would like to print, or any ideas that you'd love to get down on a block. Simple designs work best! For any questions, please email info@hivebookarts.org

ALL MATERIALS for printmaking will be provided, and we'll utilize tattoo transfer techniques to transfer your image to your lino block.

This workshop is for ages 14 and up; minimum of 3 participants and maximum of 7.

If you've already joined us for BPB 1 and BPB 2, you're more than welcome to come utilize this time as a refresher and to continue to work on your prints!
